The 1997 Particle Accelerator Conference - the 17th in this series - will be held 12-16 May 1997 at the Hotel Vancouver in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, organized by TRIUMF in association with the University of Maryland.

The conference will cover new developments in all aspects of the science, technology, and use of accelerators. It should also provide a channel of communications for accelerator scientists and engineers and persons concerned with the applications of accelerators. All individuals with an interest in particle accelerators are invited to attend. The program will include invited talks and both oral and poster contributed papers. Over 1500 abstracts have been received, so it promises to be a lively meeting!

The conference is held under the joint auspices of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers through its Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society, and of the American Physical Society through its Division of Physics of Beams.

The conference is sponsored by the US Department of Energy, National Science Foundation and Office of Naval Research.
