CONFERENCE FACILITIES
Message Centre
Boards will be set up near the conference registration desk where messages for
delegates may be posted. Telephone messages may be left at the registration
desk during registration hours by calling (604) 684-3131, extension 6368.
Job Opportunities
A notice board will be reserved for posting employment opportunities near the
conference registration desk.
Travel Desk
A representative of the PAC'97 travel agent will be available near the
conference registration desk every morning between 8:30 amd 10:30 a.m. to
assist with participants' travel arrangements.
IEEE/APS Desks
Representatives of the two sponsoring societies, the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma
Sciences Society and the APS Division of Physics of Beams, will be manning
desks near the conference registration desk. If you are not already a member,
please consider joining one or both societies, supporting the various
community activities they organize.
Public Terminal Room
Public terminals for sending and reading electronic mail will be available in
the Cortes Island Room on the Discovery Floor (one floor up from the
Convention Floor) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Business Centre
The Hotel Vancouver's Business Centre is located in the hotel lobby.
Services
provided include photocopying, word processing, laser printer, and fax
(send/receive). The Centre is open from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. Payment is the responsibility of the individual delegate.
Breakfast and Lunch
There are several restaurants in the Hotel Vancouver, and many more within a
few blocks, offering a wide range of cuisine, cost and speed.
