should be downloaded, printed out, filled out, signed and returned to the
Proceedings Office when submitting the paper. Copies will also be available
at the conference.
Preparation of Manuscripts
The Proceedings will be prepared electronically - the paper version will
be prepared from the electronic files. Instructions for the preparation of
PAC'97 manuscripts are included as the text of the template files listed
below.
The instructions may also be viewed or downloaded for printing using
PostScript files prepared for
US letter size or
A4 size paper.
Templates are available for LaTeX and example files for WORD (Mac and PC), with versions for both US Letter and A4 paper sizes. Please download the appropriate version for your installation.
The files are also available via anonymous FTP from the host ftp.triumf.ca under the path pac97/templates.
When you click on the links for the WORD .doc files below, your browser
should spawn a window to ask you where you want to save the file. If it does
not, and merely displays the file as ASCII text within your browser window,
then try either of the following:
The electronic files of contributions to the Proceedings will be processed
during the conference. To help the editorial team and maintain a uniform
throughput, authors are asked to submit their papers within the 24 hours
between 1:00 p.m. on the day before and 1:00 p.m. on the day of their
presentation. Papers should be delivered to the Gabriola Island Room on the
floor above the Convention Floor.
Rapid publication of the Proceedings depends on rapid identification and
solution of any problems with the electronic files. A chart will be displayed
indicating the status of the papers submitted; please check the chart from
time to time to follow the progress of your paper.

Submission of Papers
The deadline for submission of papers is at the conference, and the preferred
method is on diskette. In addition, a camera-ready copy on paper, a completed
version of the Submission Form, which will be available at the conference, and
a signed Transfer of Copyright Agreement should be provided.
