The paper presents the calculations, design and some tests of S-band klystron, which is developed in Budker institute of nuclear physics. The operating frequency is 2856 MHz, output pulsed power is 50 MW, pulse duration is about 3.5 us. The waveguide radio-frequency windows are tested. The cathode assembly and beam collector are tested in the diode regime with beam current of 350 A and high voltage of 350 kV. The bunching cavities have been developed and are preparing for the measurements and tuning. The next step is klystron testing with maximum radio-frequency power.
