  Status of 1 MeV 25 kW continuous wave (CW) linear electron accelerator for radiation technologies which is under construction at SINP MSU is described. Driven by 50 kW CW klystron on-axis coupled standing wave accelerating structure was optimized, manufactured and tuned. The results of accelerating structure measurements and tuning are presented. RF system, high voltage, vacuum and control systems of the accelerator are described. New magnetic system forming output beam irradiation field is also described.

Control Systems for Industrial Electron RF Accelerators

  General approach to design of control systems for different purpose electron RF accelerators - for technological processes in industry, sterilization, radiography, etc., constructed at SINP MSU is described. Control system consists from a number of specialized controllers each responsible for separate accelerator system connected via Ethernet with control computer which in turn is connected with control panel computer, modulator, power supplies etc. having own digital interface. Each controller is made of one or several special boards conditioning external analog and discrete signals and universal microcontroller part providing controller operation and network connection. Single board "Blue Shark" computers are used as control computer and control panel computer, both operating with Linux OS. Special Scada system has been developed to provide proper accelerator operation and operator interface with different level of access to accelerator parameters.
