NI Technologies for Control and Measurement Systems for Accelerators
|
||
Accelerators are the main sources of scientific knowledge in the field of structure of matter, origin of the Universe and other fundamental questions of modern physics. During construction, maintenance and upgrade stages of such a big physical setups the development and production of unique control and measurement systems always occurs and is one of the main points. Such systems must contribute the up-to date technical requirements including reliability, availability, measurement speeds and accuracy, offline and real-time data processing power, measurements and control synchronization, wide variety of sensors and third-party hardware integration, openness of hardware and software, OS Linux and EPICS support. National Instruments as one of world technologies leaders for more than 30 years provides to scientist and engineers around the world working with accelerators cutting-of-the edge hardware and software to build control and measurement systems including high channel PXI platform for fast process measurements and control, signal conditioning systems, FPGA-based real-time measurement and control system, LabVIEW software with OS Linux and EPICS Support. Examples of NI technologies usage in Russian and International Accelerator laboratories will be observed, including JINR, INR, LANSCE, LANL, SARAF, CERN, SSRF, NSRC, DESY and other.
