When the proton bunch length is comparable to the wavelength of its crab cavities, protons will not be perfectly tilted in the x-z plane. In the article, we employ weak-strong beam-beam interaction model to calculate the proton beam size growth rates and luminosity degradation rate with various machine and time parameters. The goal of these studies is to optimize the the beam-beam related machine and beam parameters of eRHIC.
