The Central Repository
The central repository contains profiles protected by accounts (login) concerning people working in the accelerator field and their institutes. People create their own account (login) in order to protect access to and to maintain their profile data in this repository, they can select their affiliation from the official list and can choose to receive information concerning one or more conferences in the JACoW collaboration. The central repository is composed of two modules:
Affiliations module: a database containing the addresses of laboratories, universities, institutes, companies, etc. carrying out activities in the field of accelerator technology;
Profiles module: a database containing profiles of individuals active in the accelerator community, populated with data derived from PAC and EPAC conferences in recent years. Profile data is, for example, first and middle names, family name, e-mail address, and affiliation data derived from the Affiliations module, all of a non-confidential nature.
Use of Profile Data
The use of profile data (name, e-mail, affiliation) is for use only in connection with the submission of contributions to the scientific programme of JACoW Collaboration conferences. It may also, with the permission of the owner, be used to inform him of forthcoming conferences.
This data must, under no circumstances,
• be used for any other purpose than in relation to the organization of a conference participating in the JACoW collaboration,
• be provided to any external body for any commercial purposes whatsoever.
