Description

Poster Police check that posters are posted and manned, that the presentation is a poster, and not the manuscript of the contribution to the proceedings.  If there is a doubt as to whether the “poster” complies with the policy below, photographic records may be taken.  The SPC Chairman should also be consulted in cases of doubt.

This screen lists all poster sessions.  Poster Police select the session, and then enter the presentation status of all posters at the end of each session by clicking on the link “Edit” beside the relative session.

The poster contributions are listed in programme order in a table with the following columns:

ID Programme Code
Presenter Name of Submitting Author
Title Title of Contribution
Manned The Poster Police selects Yes or No in the pop-up box:  The Default is “Yes”
Posted The Poster Police selects Yes or No in the pop-up box:  The Default is “Yes”
Satisfactory The Poster Police selects Yes or No in the pop-up box:  The Default is “Yes”
Picture As mentioned above, if there is a doubt about a poster being posted, manned, etc., the Poster Police can take a photographic record.  If a picture is taken or not, the Poster Police selects Yes or No in the pop-up box:  The Default is “No”
Comments The Poster Police enters comments as necessary.

When the contribution to the proceedings has received a green dot, and the fields Manned, Posted and Satisfactory are set to “Yes” the contribution is accepted for publication in the proceedings.

If any of these fields are set to “No”, the Conference Editor contacts the Submitting Author via the Search/Edit interface to remind of publication policy and exclusion from publication.
