The SPMS is a tool for event management available under General Public License (GPL) and can be used by anyone in stand-alone mode. JACoW collaboration conferences can benefit from a link to a Central Repository which contains profiles of members of the accelerator community and details of the associated laboratories, universities and institutes subject to their agreement to the JACoW terms and conditions. The system covers the functionality of:
  • Scientific Programme Module
        - Scientific programme development and management
        - Submission of contributions
        - Refereeing
        - Editing
  • Event Management Modules
        - Delegate, Industrial Exhibition, Students etc. Registration
        - Management of payments of fees and social programme
        - Management of hotel bookings and deposits
  • Automated post-conference proceedings production

The SPMS has been developed by the JACoW collaboration. The principle author is Matthew Arena of FNAL, now responsible for the Scientific Programme Module. The Event Management Modules are now being developed and maintained by Sincrotrone Trieste*, and the automated post conference proceedings production scripts by Volker Schaa of GSI.
