- Take a paper from the QA folder NOT processed by you.
- Download the PDF file from the server
using the editor interface
Final Paper QA – choose the paper - Submit
- Then perform the following checks:
- The number of pages is the same as in
the database: if not, change the SPMS.
- All pages of the document display in <5 seconds
- All pages of the document display without error
- Check the margins once more
- Check for title correspondence.
If they differ, the one on the PAPER copy wins. Fix the title in the SPMS.
- Ignore author list changes (this step will be performed by the Author Reception Office)
- Look carefully at the text and...
- Check equations and figures for strange or bad fonts
- If everything is NOT all OK
- If you can fix it in the PDF
- Fix the problem and make a comment in the database
- If you need to go back to the source
- Select QA failed
- Reassign paper to me
- Re-do the editing part, then stack it again for QA (not by you)
- Upload the new version of the PDF file
- If you cannot fix it:
- Select QA Failed
- Assign red dot on the paper copy.
- Describe the problem and red dot the paper in the SPMS. The author will
be notified of the operation by the SPMS automatically.
- File it again in the processed papers stack.
- If all is OK choose the QA OK in the SPMS and submit.
- Just below the green dot, write down a 'QA' sign
- Place all paper work in the folder with the latest PDF version (the one with the dot) on top.
