AB  - The weak-strong model subjects the test particle in the weak beam to transverse impulses from the strong beam, resulting in betatron tune shifts. We give analytic formulae for small amplitude and asymptotic shifts for three cases: short-range, long-range, and wire compensation; and optimize the latter to minimize the non-linear tune spreads.
