The method is based on the time of flight between two beam stoppers 7.65 m apart. Based on two independent time-of-flight measurements at three different beam energies, the beam analyser magnet is calibrated with an accuracy of 0.12 %, corresponding to a beam energy accuracy of 0.24 %.
