AB  - Recently, we proposed a new type of instability, Plasma Cascade Instability (PCI), to be used as the amplification mechanism of a Coherent Electron Cooling (CeC) system, which we call Plasma Cascade Amplifier (PCA). In this work, we present our analytical estimate of the cooling force as expected from a PCA- based CeC system and compare it with the simulation results. As examples, we apply our analysis to a few possible CeC systems and investigate the evolution of the circulating ion beams in the presence of cooling.
