During its commissioning, the bunch lengths measured using a Beam Extension Monitor were compared with simulations for different ion species (Proton, Helium, Oxygen, Argon). The longitudinal emittances measured using the 3 gradients method and a multiparticule optimization method were also compared successfully to the expected ones.
