AB  - We discuss numerical simulations of the Vlasov-Fokker-Planck equation to model passive higher-harmonic cavity (HHC) effects with parameters of the Advanced Light Source Upgrade (ALS-U. The numerical results, obtained with the SPACE code, are compared with a modal analysis of the coupled-bunch instability theory.
