AB - The superconducting half-wave-resonators for the RAON project require a slow frequency tuner that can provide at least 80 kHz tuning range. Cornell University has designed, prototyped, and tested a tuner for these half-wave-resonators. In this paper, we present the tuner design, prototype fabrication, test insert preparation, long-term testing and tuner performance test results at cryogenic temperature. The performance of the tuner is analyzed in detail.
