AB - The High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) is a high-energy, ultralow-emittance, kilometer-scale storage ring light source to be built in China. The HEPS lattice design has been started since 2008. In this paper we will review the evolution of the HEPS lattice design over the past ten years, focusing mainly on the linear optics design and nonlinear optimization.
