Several Department of Energy national laboratories, including the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab), are participating in this project. JLab is responsible for procuring a number of critical components. Over the course of this project, JLab has evolved several procurement strategies to minimize risk and improve performance while working within the constraints of budget and schedule. This paper discusses the impact of procurement choices on project technical success.
