However, beam-induced heat load resulted from synchrotron radiation or the image current will not only degrade the performance of undulator but damage the magnet foil. It is difficult to quantitatively study heat transfer phenomenon of the magnet foil through physical experiment. In this study, finite element analysis was applied to study the effect of beam-induced heat load on an in-vacuum undulator.
