Recently such beams were produced at Fermilab Accelerator Science and Technology (FAST) facility. In this paper, we report the results of flat beam compression study in a magnetic chicane at an energy of E~32 MeV. Additionally, we investigate the effect of energy chirp in the round-to-flat beam transform. The experimental results are compared with numerical simulations.
