The control system for CLARA is a distributed control system based upon the EPICS [2] software framework. The control system builds on experience gained from previous EPICS based facilities at Daresbury including ALICE (formerly ERLP) [3] and VELA [4]. This paper presents the current status of the CLARA control system, experiences during beam exploitation and developments and future plans for the next phases of the facility.}, }
